From September 23 to September 26, new first-year Bachelor and Grande École students took part in the 3rd edition of Start-up week, a challenge to discover the world of entrepreneurship and business leaders. Students had 2 half-days, per program, to design an innovative business project with the support of Ophélie Malingre, in charge of student engagement, and Simon Collot, an ISC Paris alumnus, entrepreneur, humorist and improvisational theater specialist. 3 student projects stood out and won a €500 start-up grant.
Start Up Week is an event designed to challenge students through the creation of high-impact, innovative projects that can be carried out in a limited timeframe. New students in their first year of the Bachelor’s program and the Grandes Écoles program presented 16 projects meeting three defined criteria: societal impact, financial feasibility and rapid implementation (3 to 6 months). In groups of 6 or 7, students presented projects around themes with a positive impact on society, and which could be carried out within a year or a semester.
These intense, fast-paced half-days of entrepreneurial discovery enabled participants to get to know each other, learn to collaborate as a team, and strengthen group cohesion, laying the foundations for their academic and professional careers.
At the end of the entrepreneurial week, ISC Paris students pitched their projects for 2 minutes in front of a panel of judges. 3 high-impact, innovative projects stood out and were awarded a €500 start-up grant.
All the students involved in these 3 projects will be supported throughout the year to help them put their ideas into practice.
“During Startup Week, we had the pleasure of welcoming around a hundred students, each bringing innovative and varied projects to the table. We had a great diversity of projects, and above all, I was impressed by the motivation and enthusiasm of our students. This year’s class is really looking forward to the challenge, and I can’t wait to see how these projects evolve!” says Ophélie Malingre, Head of Student Involvement.
See you next year for the 4th edition!
