Dream ISC Festival: a day of inspiration and cohesion

On October 3, ISC Paris organized its first annual festival to mark the start of the new school year. The theme of this year’s event was dreams, and the aim was to stimulate the imagination and creativity of each and every student. With the Dream ISC Festival, ISC Paris decided to offer an alternative to traditional integration days, combining festive and educational moments to meet the needs of each student.

500 students and teaching staff from the Paris and Orléans campuses will gather at the Domaine du Bois d’Auteuil. Organized by the Direction de l’Engagement étudiant and members of the BDE, the event will be divided into three themed villages:

  • The Inspiration Village:
    • Round-table discussions: Fresco of Learning, motivation and intention for the year, improvisational theater].
    • Meetings with companies and entrepreneurs from ISC Paris: Simon Collot, comedian and humorist, Fred Ghenassia, President of the ISC PARIS Alumni Association, Marion Panon and Apolliana Tolen-bete, who have turned their entrepreneurial ambitions into reality thanks to support from ISC Paris.
    • Inspiring speeches: “Dare to dream your life” with Fatou Ndiaye, expert at the United Nations, conference, model and reporter for Canal + in “Les nouveaux explorateurs”, Chadrack Ilanga, trainer in public speaking with his conference “creating a memorable pitch”.
    • Awareness-raising workshops: self-defense classes, equity bingo, zero waste workshop…
    • A challenge between ISC Paris teams and students: a tailor-made integration “to-do list” to help students integrate perfectly into the school, and a collective intelligence workshop for staff from the Paris and Orléans campuses.
  • Games/Festivities Village:
    • Sports activities
    • Team games
    • A DJ set by ISC Paris student Angelo Gagliano

The Catering Village, where Food Trucks will be present throughout the day.

“This year, we’ve made it a point of honor to strengthen ties within our community. With this in mind, we co-created this festival with the students. The best way to engage them was to make them actors of the day. It all started in a meeting room, with a hundred post-it notes to which we all contributed our ideas, desires and ambitions. We’re extremely proud of this collaboration, which perfectly reflects the DNA and values of our school,” explains Ophélie Malingre, Head of Student Involvement.

“Following the decision not to organize an integration weekend this year, we wanted to create a large-scale event that would promote the integration of all ISC students, without the inconvenience sometimes associated with such weekends. The festival format was the ideal solution. The Dream ISC Festival offers a convivial experience that brings together all the school’s profiles. With inspiring conferences, activities organized by student associations, DJ sets throughout the day, and much more, this event has been designed to appeal to everyone. The teams worked hard to offer the best possible festival, creating a moment of sharing and integration for all,” concludes Angelo, 3rd year Bachelor student and Events Project Manager for the ISC Paris Wolf BDE.
